My experience with Mayo Medical Centre Lucknow regarding the care provided to my maternal grandfather was extremely disheartening. As an ECHS person, he deserved better treatment, but sadly, the hospital fell short in several aspects.

It took an excruciating five days of testing for Mayo Medical Centre Lucknow to identify the underlying cause of my grandfather’s ailment. This prolonged delay wasted precious time and resulted in unnecessary suffering for a patient who was already in a weakened state.

Throughout his stay, the hospital exhibited a lack of efficiency, causing further frustration. Rather than prioritizing patient care, the staff at Mayo Medical Centre Lucknow seemed more concerned with bureaucratic procedures, causing unnecessary delays and hindering the timely treatment my grandfather desperately needed.

Remarkably, it wasn’t until we considered transferring him to another hospital that Mayo Medical Centre Lucknow suddenly proposed performing an operation. This lack of earlier consideration for such a critical step, despite being aware of the blockage in my grandfather’s small intestine, was deeply concerning. Additionally, it is important to highlight that during this time, they also performed a barium swallow test on my grandfather, despite the known blockage in his small intestine. This not only demonstrated a lack of understanding and appropriate decision-making but also put my grandfather’s health at further risk.

Unfortunately, despite this knowledge, Mayo Medical Centre Lucknow repeatedly failed to locate the blockage during their tests, showcasing a significant lack of competence in diagnosis.

Overall, our experience at Mayo Medical Centre Lucknow with my maternal grandfather was disheartening. The substandard care, prolonged delays, inappropriate testing, and failure to accurately diagnose his condition were distressing for our family. We sincerely hope that Mayo Medical Centre Lucknow takes this feedback seriously and works towards improving their practices for the sake of future patients.
